How to send us a specimen

HMDS accepts referrals of all types of diagnostic specimens (blood, bone marrow and tissue samples) from NHS and private providers within the United Kingdom. Please download the appropriate request form and refer to the User Guide for further details.

In most cases charging is based on the specimen type (lymph node biopsy, bone marrow aspirate and trephine biopsy etc.) and this includes all investigations required. Specimens from NHS patients are charged according to the current tariff published by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Please contact us for more details.
